We have a small gravel car park with limited parking spaces at the front of our Headquarters. When the car park is full, there is a National Trust car park half way back down the road, or parking at Baywatch Beach. Please allow plenty of time to park so you’re not late for your session.

It is advisable to call or email in advance to see if there’s space on our sessions or availability for hiring, particularly during the busy summer months.

We have minimum ages for some of our activities but there is no maximum age! Please see the chart below.

Sailing 8 years & up (For single-handed sailing, any younger to be supervised by an adult)

If you are booked onto a session and are running late, please call us and let us know. Usually, we will start the session on time and arrange for you to join us once you’re ready. We usually won’t be able to delay sessions as there are other people on the session and it will delay the following sessions.

Absolutely. If you have booked a place but don’t arrive, we have probably turned somebody else away. Please call us as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it.

For dry activities, please bring closed-toe shoes.

For wet activities, please bring

  • swimming gear
  • shoes you don’t mind getting wet (old trainers, wetsuit shoes, crocs) (NOT flip-flops)
  • a towel
  • warm clothes for afterwards
  • Sun cream and a cap.

We provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids and splash tops and splash trousers.

There are no height or weight limits for any of our activities

You can leave your child during a booked session with us where the instructor will be supervising. Children must be supervised by a parent or a guardian up until the session start time and immediately after the session. Parents or guardians must also be contactable for the duration of the session.

Our season runs from April – October. Due to the number of school group bookings, we remain closed to the public on weekdays during term time.

During school holidays and at weekends we are open 9 – 5.30, or later if the tide allows!
